The idea

The room we'd want to sit in after a day in the cold.

Sixteen suites share one lounge. Guests pass through the same door each day — and none of them feel crowded. The fire is always lit. The kettle is always on. Stay an hour, stay an evening; order a little, order a lot.

Come in your slippers. Come in from a husky sleigh. Bring a book. Bring nothing. Enjoy the lounge at your own pace.

Three moments, one space

The lounge changes character through the day — quieter, warmer, fuller, quieter again. These are the hours we'd come for.

Morning

Coffee by the fire

A slow start. Filter coffee, fresh bread, berries from the fell. Take your cup to the armchair by the window; watch the snow change colour as the light returns.

Afternoon

A warm return

Come in from the cold. Hot drink, a pastry, your boots drying by the hearth. The kind of hour you forget about checking your phone.

Around the table

Soft light, good company, and Arctic flavours. Our chef prepares a seasonal set menu featuring ingredients from the North, including reindeer, fish and cloudberry. Relax, dine, and linger awhile.

What we serve

Local, seasonal, and unhurried.

Our kitchen isn't large enough for a menu, and we prefer it that way. Breakfast is a refined table of Finnish staples — over-night porridge, berries, fresh bread, good butter. Lighter bites appear through the day as the fells demand. For dinner there is one menu, one seating, enough tables for every guest who wishes to join.

Everything starts with what the forest and the fishermen have this week. If we haven't got it, we don't pretend to.
